We are excited to be offering two Layered Cake Classes this Spring! Both classes will teach the fundamentals of torting cake layers, filling and stacking a 3 layer cake. In the first class on April 13th, we will be teaching how to create that beautiful rustic style of the nearly naked cake texture. On May 5th, we will dive in a bit deeper and learn about creating whimsical florals using the pallet knife technique.
We are excited to be back at Studio Life this Spring to bring you a Mother’s Day Layered Cake Workshop! In this class you will you learn how to cut, fill and stack a 3 layer cake to get a beautiful leveled cake, you will also learn how to crumb coat and frost the cake with different textures, including this pallet knife floral technique! There will be a demonstration of how to make Johanna's most favorite buttercream, easily adapted to different flavors. We will also indulge in the beautiful spring blooms of the season and learn how to appropriately add them to our cakes. At the end of the workshop, you will leave with the knowledge and skills to create your own cake creation at home for your next event! You will also leave with your beautiful creation, several decorating tips and tricks as well as Johanna's recipes for the cake and buttercream used in the workshop. We may also have a few other surprises up our sleeves… :) We would love to have you join us as we dive into learning all about Cake and Buttercream. SKILL LEVEL For All Classes: Beginner to Intermediate. You do not need any prior experience in cake decorating. We have purposely limited the number os tickets so there will be plenty of hands on time to create. The workshop is perfect for your first time dabbling in buttercream or for bakers who want to take their cake skills to the next level.
FOOD & DRINK: Water and light refreshments from DSC will be served throughout the workshop.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: All tools and materials needed will be provided and will remain property of DSC. Boxes for taking your cookies home will be provided. Students must be at least 13 years of age. Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another student if you are unable to attend.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Delicately Sweet Confections reserves the right to cancel or change workshops. In the rare event of a cancellation, DSC will provide students with enough notice as possible and provide a full refund
