 We believe every moment in life should be celebrated. Founded in 2009 as a creative outlet; Delicately Sweet Confections was born with the intentions to provide sweets that would make an everlasting impression. Initially our desserts started selling at local Farmer’s Markets around the Seattle area, but we’ve since grown expanding our reach through Weddings, Birthday celebrations, and other quaint establishments that match our vision. 




SOLD OUT - Learn to Build and Decorate Cakes like a Professional 

WORKSHOP DETAILS: In this workshop you will learn how to cut and stack cake layers to get those beautiful even layers. You will learn how to crumb coat and frost a cake with several different textures including, semi-naked, rustic and watercolor.. You will also learn how to add simple finishing touches to your cake to WOW your guests.  There will be a demonstration of how to make Johanna's most favorite buttercream easily adapted to different flavors.  At the end of the workshop you leave with the knowledge and skills to create your own cake creation at home for your next event!  You will also leave with your beautiful creation, several decorating tips and tricks as well as Johanna's recipes for the cake and buttercream used in the workshop. 

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate. You do not need any prior experience in cake decorating. We have purposely limited the number os tickets so there will be plenty of hands on time to create. The workshop is perfect for your first time dabbling in buttercream or for bakers who want to take their cake skills to the next level.

DATE & TIME: Sunday, October 22 1:00 - 4:00pm

FOOD & DRINK: Coffee and light refreshments from DSC will be served throughout the workshop.

PRICE: $85 + tax

TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT: send an email to and put "Cake Workshop" in the subject line. Be sure to include the number of tickets you'd like to purchase. We will then send you an invoice. Your seat will be confirmed once payment is received. 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: All tools and materials needed will be provided and will remain property of DSC. Boxes for taking your creation home will be provided. Students must be at least 13 years of age.  Please wear comfortable shoes and be able to tie your hair back. Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another student if you are unable to attend. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Delicately Sweet Confections reserves the right to cancel or change workshops.  In the rare event of a cancellation, DSC will provide students with enough notice as possible and provide a full refund.
